Feed Boredom with Adventure to the Mountain (1)

Saturated is a condition that is common to everyone. Especially when someone is confronted with an iterative activity. One of the signs of burnout is lack of motivation. Under these conditions, life is like running water where there is no control over oneself to try better.

Office workers, students or students have the possibility of experiencing burnout. That is because of the repeated activities of the patterns that have been set in the work environment, campus, or school. Without the motivation caused by boredom, then someone will find it difficult to develop with the tendency to accept everything that happens because the view becomes narrow.

Saturation basically can be overcome by itself, that is when someone has stopped doing these repetitive activities. However, if waiting for boredom to resolve itself, then not infrequently it will be followed by regret. Regret about time that went in vain without something more has been done. Not infrequently someone will feel that life that has been passed is worthless.

Of course, we don't want to be like that including me!

Departing from this, I decided to try something new, namely an adventure to the mountains. Is it fun to go on a trip to the mountains? Based on my experience, the joy (happiness) is actually not in the mountains, but in us. The preoccupation comes from gratitude that we have been given healthy favors to be able to enjoy the beauty of God's creation. Boredom often arises because we forget to be grateful, we feel dissatisfied with what we have and can now.

Our mountain adventure will see life in the wild where life is not complicated. Basically, needs have been available in nature as a gift from God Almighty. I realized this when climbing to Mount ungaran. I saw a monkey (monkey). I see them eating from something available from nature so hungrily while hanging. No moodiness was seen due to the activeness of the langurs on Mount ungaran.

On the basis of simplicity displayed by the Lutung. I think that the saturation experienced by some of us, including me, is not only based on repetitive activities. But it is also caused by our complicated mind. One of the complications can occur because we do not have a purpose in life.

The signs of someone who has no purpose in life are easily impressed and feel the life of others is better than his life. In this condition someone will be adrift following the dynamics in society. As a result, none of our work will be produced if we do not have a purpose.

That mountain adventure is what gives me a different perspective where being simple is a way of achieving our goals in life. What we often don't realize is limited time. The consequences if we do not become simple, then very few things can be resolved. What we have to know is what strengths and limitations we have so we can choose the right destination.

Adventure to the mountains becomes a place to be able to reflect on themselves in search of what life goals to be achieved. Keep in mind that the purpose of life is basically not a complicated, simple goal. The purpose of life is something that makes you happy and it is not merely material but can be something immaterial.

Adventure to the mountains will lead us to see something that is not only measurable with matter, but is an immaterial thing. Happiness derived from immaterial things will last longer because it comes from someone's person, in contrast to material happiness that is shorter because it comes from things outside someone's person.
